Join The Crew

The Boat

Thank you for your interest in joining our team onboard the FV CAMTU! She is a 58x24 shallow draft salmon tender equipped with two cranes, a resale fuel tank, and fish pump on deck. In the cabin, she is equipped with full amenities such as a kitchen, bathroom, state room for cabin, and two separate bunk rooms for crew.

The Expectations

Although Alaska is a beautiful place, the oceans may be unforgiving. Working conditions are often cold, wet, and rainy. Therefore, the vessel deck will be wet and slippery. The weather on the ocean may range from sunny and calm to stormy and turbulent. Tasks onboard ranges from relaxed duties, to fast-paced moments and working under pressure.

Important Industry Disclaimer: While we strive to provide our tendering crew with maximized tendering days, nothing is guaranteed as this industry is dependent on fish returns, weather, and the announcements made by The Department of Fish & Game. This industry depends on Mother Nature, but Mother Nature is often unpredictable. It must be understood these situations are outside the control of Camtu's Alaska Wild Seafoods.
