Hiring Process

1. APPLY   

Submit your online application to us.

2. STANDBY   

Please allow up to 2 weeks for processing your application.

Please check your email often. You may be contacted for a brief phone call with follow up questions.

3. BACKGROUND CHECK   

You will receive an email from CHECKR to authorize a background check.

Please complete the authorization prompts from this email to complete the background check process.

​

4. ACCEPTED   

After your background check has been reviewed and your application has been accepted, you will receive an employment contract and onboarding paperwork by one of our representatives. This will be sent to the email that you provided in your application.

5. SUBMIT PAPERWORK   

Complete and submit your paperwork back to our representative.

6. BUY YOUR TICKET  

Our manager will inform you of the arrival dates. Purchase your tickets as soon as possible online at www.alaskaair.com or call Alaska Airlines Reservations at 1 (800) 252-7522. Book them from your nearest airport direct to Cordova, Alaska (99574).

7. FLY UP  

Pack for your 5-month stay and fly up! Once you land in Cordova, a driver will meet you at the airport to take you to the bunkhouse or tender vessel.
